As most of you know, Actors Theatre Center started as a small theatre group in 2004, dedicated to shaking up the local educational theatre scene...and we have done very well over the years. From creating entertainment for Camera Cinemas, to a Teen Summer Arts Conservatory, to new works, and productions for both families and adults, we have remained very diverse.
As the dawn of our 10th year approaches, we are looking towards the fulfillment of our original goal: to open an educational center and intimate performing arts venue in the South Bay Area!
This summer will see the kickoff of that drive. We will be producing our sixth incarnation of The Rocky Horror Show to help benefit Ohlone College's Department of Theatre and Dance as well as our own venue fund! Along with this production , we are initiating a SMALL fundraising campaign to gauge the interest in such a venue.
Our whole 9 years of solid educational theatre work has been financed through small monetary gifts and ticket sales. We have NEVER performed any fundraising in our 9 years of existence, but now's the time!
If you are willing to be a part of this next phase for Actors Theatre Center, please visit our campaign at on Indiegogo at: http://igg.me/at/atc/x/3456880 .
This is ONLY an $8,000 campaign...so if you know someone that might be interested as well, please pass it on!
With my deepest thanks, Jeff M. Hicks Founding Artistic Director
